Today, Xiaomi globally launched the Mi A2, which is the successor of last year’s Mi A1. The company also announced Mi A2 lite, which is a cheaper variant of the Mi A2. Xiaomi has confirmed that the Mi A2 will be headed to India but on the other hand, the Lite model will not be launching in India. The global launch event took place in Madrid, Spain.

Xiaomi’s Mi A2 comes in three different variants having 4GB of RAM with 32GB of storage, 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage and the last 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage powering a solid Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 660 2.2GHz octa-core processor. It has 12MP + 20MP dual rear camera with a 20MP AI-powered front camera. It runs on the latest and purest Android One platform.
The rear camera is capable of recording 4K video (3840×2160) at 30fps and 720p slow motion at 120fps. The phone powers a normal 3010mAh battery with 5V 2A charging. The phone features a 5.99” FHD+ 18:9 Full-screen display. There are some smart technologies to enhance the image processing which they call AI Camera, which allows users to get much better portraits even in low light conditions.
Mi A2 is priced at EUR 249 (around Rs. 19,999) for the 4GB RAM + 32GB storage variant, EUR 279 (about Rs. 22,499) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option, and EUR 349 (approximately Rs. 27,999) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model. Xiaomi has confirmed that they will be launching Mi A2 in India, but there is date confirmed yet.
