Microsoft is rumoured to have been working on a foldable Surface device codenamed Andromeda since last two years. So far we have seen the device in patents and reports. The device has been very mysterious and in a new leaked email, things get clear quite a bit.

According to the email, the rumoured device will be a “new and disruptive” part of the Surface family that will blur the lines between what’s considered PC and mobile.

The leaked email illustrated, “It’s a new pocketable Surface device form factor that brings together innovative new hardware and software experiences to create a truly personal and versatile computing experience. It will blur the lines between mobile and stationary computing.”

The device will also support the stylus, which is going to be the key for Andromeda. It may come with a display supplied by LG as hinted in a tweet by Panos Panay, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of Devices.

In his latest #AskDanWindows episode, Daniel Rubino, Editor-in-chief of Windows Central, expects the device to be announced in October event by Microsoft. Dan says, “We are still hearing a 2018 schedule for this device.” “This is all of course internal information we are hearing, things could definitely change,” he adds.
